President Ruto Defends His Move To Absorb Opposition

President William Ruto has underscored his decision to involve opposition leaders in his government saying it was crucial for the unity of the nation.

Ruto who was addressing residents at Kobujoi in Aldai, Nandi, noted that Kenya was in an exceptional situation which necessitated putting aside personal or political interests.

“There comes a time in the life of a nation when the unity of the nation, the progress of Kenya, the transformation of our nation is much more important than any other political persuasion, political sides, political formation or any community interests,” he said.

“It is even beyond the personal interests of leaders, we must come together and that is such a moment in our country,” he added.
