President William Ruto stunned Kenyans on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, after appearing in full Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) uniform during the KDF Day celebrations at Moi Barracks, Eldoret.
This was the first time the Head of State was seen in official military attire since assuming office.
The President who is seen walking donned the uniform as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Kenya.
President Ruto joined hundreds of officers and their families to commemorate the annual event, which honours the courage, discipline, and sacrifice of Kenya’s men and women in uniform.
The day is partly used to showcase KDF’s dedication to community service, affirming that military strength goes hand in hand with support for the most vulnerable.
