President William Ruto on Monday, August 12 held a joint meeting with Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries at State House Nairobi.
In a statement via X, the President, alongside his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, called on the CSs to focus on the implementation of government programs that would transform the lives of Kenyans.
“We have formed a broad-based government to unite the country and rally all Kenyans behind the country’s transformation journey.”
During the joint session, Ruto asked the leaders to uphold integrity and avoid corruption while administering their mandates.
He further urged them to be efficient and prioritize programs that will create jobs for the Kenyan youth.
“I call on those selected to serve in the cabinet to focus on the implementation of programmes and policies that will transform the lives of Kenyans and move the country forward. Let us not waste this golden opportunity,” said Ruto.
The meeting comes days after the newly reconstituted cabinet took an oath of office during an event held at State House.
Ruto dismissed his previous Cabinet after public uproar over the lack of accountability from his CSs.
