President William Ruto hosted Russia’s ambassador to Kenya, Dmitry Maksimychev, at State House in Nairobi on Wednesday.
The two leaders talked about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for over 250 days.
Kenya, according to President Ruto, supports a quick resolution to the crisis.

“As part of the global community, we have experienced the adverse effects of the conflict,” he said adding that “The two countries have a wide scope of investment ties in agriculture, energy and ICT.”
Kenya has remained neutral throughout the war.
