
President William Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s enduring partnership with Rwanda, emphasizing the shared commitment of both nations to promote peace, stability, and economic growth across the East African region.
Speaking at State House Nairobi on Friday, President Ruto hosted General James Kabarebe, Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s Special Envoy and Minister of State for Regional Integration in Rwanda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the two leaders reiterated the deepening ties between Kenya and Rwanda, underpinned by strong collaboration in regional affairs.
“Our meeting reaffirmed the strong and growing relationship between Kenya and Rwanda,” said President Ruto. “We discussed a wide range of bilateral and regional issues, focusing on enhancing cooperation in peace and security, trade, and regional integration.”
President Ruto noted that the partnership is crucial not only for the prosperity of the two nations but also for broader efforts to foster unity and economic development within the East African Community (EAC).
The visit by General Kabarebe signals ongoing diplomatic engagement between Nairobi and Kigali, as both countries continue to play a pivotal role in regional dialogue and integration efforts.
