President Ruto Vows To Make KDF Soldiers Automatic Beneficiaries Of Housing Programme

The head of state lauded the KDF efforts in ensuring peace and stability in the country and region, saying the government would continue to support the military with both equipment and services.

President William Ruto has promised that his administration will prioritize the welfare of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in the Housing Programme.

President Ruto stated on Saturday during the 12th KDF Day celebrations at Embakasi Garrison in Nairobi that the Kenya Kwanza regime had already completed the procurement of three barracks to build 9,000 military housing units.

“We have made a decision that KDF is going to be an automatic beneficiary of our housing program. Last week we concluded procurement in three barracks to build 9,000 housing units,” he said.

The head of state lauded the KDF efforts in ensuring peace and stability in the country and region, saying the government would continue to support the military with both equipment and services.

“I convey appreciation to you for your service… Our neighborhood security and stability and development is our safety and growth,” he said.

“To your families, I’m told they are soldiers in silence for supporting you. Their silent strength is a big contributor that cannot be ignored and we have a comprehensive program to ensure that there is new equipment and better facilities to appreciate KDF and what they are doing.”

He consequently reaffirmed that his leadership would continue to support the armed forces in their sworn duty to defend the country.
