President William Ruto has made public his final list of cabinet nominees, weeks after he sacked his entire cabinet except for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
The list of 21 nominees includes familiar Opposition faces and newcomers, with several cabinet secretaries returning to their positions. Some notable appointments include:
* John Mbadi as National Treasury Cabinet Secretary
* Kipchumba Murkomen as Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports
* Wycliffe Oparanya as Cooperatives and MSME Development Cabinet Secretary
* Stella Soi Langa’t as Gender, Culture, Arts and Heritage Cabinet Secretary
* Rebecca Miano as Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary
Other notable appointments include:
* Opiyo Wandayi as Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary
* Justin Muturi as Public Service Cabinet Secretary
* Salim Mvurya as Investments, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary
* Alfred Mutua as Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary

The list also includes several new faces, including:
