Tanzania President Samia Suluhu, clad in a mask, arrived in Uganda on her very first state visit.
She is in the country on a one-day official visit to discuss matters of mutual interests between the two neighboring nations.
She was received by Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kutesa.
Yoweri Museveni and Suluhu are expected to tour the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), the $3.55 billion electrically heated pipeline.
Before his demise, the late president John Magufuli was scheduled to sign the deal on March 22 for the three-way signing of the crude oil export pipeline deal.
This is between the governments of Uganda and Tanzania and French oil giant Total, who is the lead investor of the landmark project.
