President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday morning launched the Kenya Malaria Youth Army at Mtondia, Kilifi County.
The group will be involved in spraying Malaria breeding zones using drones.
President Kenyatta was accompanied by Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, and other senior county and national government officials.
President Kenyatta who is on an official visit to the Coast region will issue title deeds to the residents of Rabai at Kasidi Primary School in Ruruma ward.

According to Governor Kingi, the move by the President who heads the African Leaders Malaria Alliance, the program is going to be a great milestone in ending the spread of mosquitoes.
“This program will greatly help curb the spread and infection of Malaria in our County, where Malaria cases have been rampant especially at the grassroots level. We are happy that it has been launched here in Kilifi,” Governor Kingi said
