President Uhuru Kenyatta paid Raila Odinga a visit at his Karen home on Tuesday night, September 8, three days after the Supreme Court upheld President-elect William Ruto’s victory.
According to sources present at the meeting, the two leaders discussed the election results and the Supreme Court’s dismissal of their presidential petition.
Uhuru was accompanied by his eldest son, Jomo Kenyatta, Governor James Orengo and Azimio spokesperson Makau Mutua.
In attendance at the meeting at Raila’s home was scholar and columnist Okech Kendo, Raila’s wife Mama Ida Odinga and daughter Winnie Odinga.
The visit comes amid planned series of meetings between the two leaders and Azimio La Umoja elected members.
Uhuru is expected to discuss the way forward after Azimio lost to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza.
