President William Ruto arrives in Bujumbura, Burundi, for the Extra-Ordinary Summit of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of States.
In the one-day summit of the East African Community presidents will evaluate the security situation in Eastern DR.
According to information shared on his official Facebook page, the head of state touched down in Bujumbura on board his military plane and was warmly welcomed by leaders from Burundi.
President Ruto and other heads of state from the East African community will grace the extraordinary summit in the country.

The one-day meeting brings together Presidents Samia Suluhu (Tanzania), Félix Tshisekedi (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and the host Évariste Ndayishimiye.
It will be evaluating the security situation in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
