President William Ruto Arrives In South Korea For Bilateral Talks

President William Ruto arrived in the Republic of Korea on Tuesday afternoon for a three-day state visit.

The President left the country on Monday, November 21, night for bilateral talks with President Yoon Suk-Yeol.

According to a communique from the State House released on Sunday, November 20, Ruto will explore partnerships in key sectors of the government’s economic transformation agenda, including; agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and public health.

The engagements will culminate in the signing of trade agreements between the two nations.

“Kenya will also advance negotiations to open markets for her exports as part of growing bilateral trade. Kenya and the Republic of Korea enjoy cordial ties founded on common values, mutual trust, and benefit,” said the statement.

President Ruto is scheduled to attend a business forum where he will market Kenya as a suitable investment destination for foreign investors.

The visit is also expected to open up job opportunities for tech-savvy youth in both countries.
