As part of the Ministry’s Public Diplomacy efforts, members of UN agencies, international organisations, and diplomatic and consular missions were invited to a luncheon by the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi.
The PCS restated His Excellency President Dr. William Ruto’s ethos and philosophy, which serve as the cornerstone of Kenya’s foreign policy framework and are embodied in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), in his speech to the Diplomatic Corp.
Similarly, via promoting constructive and successful regional integration, Hon. Mudavadi noted the critical role played by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs in achieving continental stability, economic inclusion, and regional peace and security.
In this regard, the PCS pledged to utilise Kenya’s friendships and alliances together with its diplomatic reach to achieve win-win results.
Additionally, Hon. Mudavadi reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to advancing constructive multilateralism as the most effective means of resolving complex and challenging global issues.
This is done by fostering respect for international law, ensuring and defending a fair and equitable international order, and advocating for adherence to the U.N. Charter.
