There was a stalemate at a Matatu parking station in Machakos town after irate matatu operators demanded for the exit of probox operators.
The operators say probox counterparts have invaded their stage denying them a chance to get customers.
Led by Onesmus Kyallo, chairman of the Machakos Matatu Operators, they wondered how Probox cars got a chance to operate along different routes in Machakos yet they are not registered PSV.
They now want the county government and the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to intervene.
Reacting back probox operators vowed to resist any move to remove them from stage claiming that they’re legit operators who have complied with all the rules and regulations.
The matter ended up at the OCPDs office with an amicable solution expected to be reached at soon.
