PS Raymond Omollo has stated that the Kirinyaga County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) in Sagana is emerging as a key driver of agricultural transformation under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
According to Omollo, through investment in value addition for local produce, the park will empower farmers and agro-entrepreneurs to store, process and market their crops more efficiently, increasing incomes and reducing post-harvest losses.

The park, launched in August 2024 and now in advanced stages of construction, features eight warehouses (six funded by the national government and two by the county), two cold storage facilities, two aggregation stores and four value addition units.
Protective dykes have also been constructed to shield residents and farmland from perennial flooding by River Sagana.

Even before completion, locals are already employed on site, creating immediate job opportunities.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration continues to play a key role in overseeing the project, ensuring safety, compliance and smooth implementation throughout its development and beyond.
