The Public Service Commission (PSC) has withdrawn its recruitment notice for vacant positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a notice on Tuesday, November 18, the commission announced the cancellation of three advertised posts that had been open to applicants.
“Public Service Commission wishes to inform the public that the advertisement for vacant positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been cancelled,” PSC stated in the update.
The cancelled positions include Director Foreign Service/Minister II (vacancy number 153/2025) with 37 openings at CSG 5 grade, Deputy Director Foreign Service/Minister Counsellor (vacancy number 154/2025) with 26 positions at CSG 6 grade, and Assistant Director Foreign Service/Counsellor (vacancy number 155/2025) with 23 vacancies at CSG 7 grade.
The commission did not provide reasons for the abrupt cancellation of the recruitment exercise.
According to the original advertisement, interested and qualified candidates had been instructed to submit their applications online through the commission’s recruitment portal at www.psckjobs.go.ke by 5:00 PM East African Time on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The PSC had emphasized in its initial notice that it does not charge any fees for job applications, shortlisting, or interviews, warning the public to beware of fraudsters masquerading as commission staff.
