No Apology From Qatar For Kenyan Family Stranded For 17 Hours

A Kenyan family frustrated at a Qatar terminal for 17 hours, is yet to recieve any apology from Qatar Airways

The family (names withheld) was downgraded to economy class despite paying business class fare for the 24-hour journey to Los Angeles, US.

The passengers left JKIA at 1.25am on Monday.

They landed at Hamad International Airport at 7.00 am for a connecting flight to Los Angeles International Airport.

Then the drama began.

They were told that a member of the family’s businessclass ticket was cancelled.

They stayed at Hamad for 4 hours before they were belatedly transfered to a hotel.

This was not before a manager, named Arjun had literally insulted them.

It turned out Arjun boarded a Mzungu passenger who was not in the flight manifest.

The family was further mistreated in the cabin as they were forced to sit away  from each other.

One of the passengers was a young girl who was sat next to total strangers. For 17 hours.

The cabin crew advised the aggrieved passengers to officially complain.

“In my 10 or so years with Qatar Airlines, I have never experienced this”, a senior flight attendant said.

The tired, frustrated, weary travellers landed in Los Angeles 17 hours behind schedule.
