Kiharu Constituency MP Ndidi Nyoro has called upon the county and national government to come to the aid of families who have been left with no homes.
The MP who had visited the affected areas said plans are underway to excavators clear the blocked roads.
Gacharu and Gitui areas are most by the mudslides.
Floods have also displaced several families in Ahero after river Nyando burst its banks. Ahero town is also impassable due to the floods.
Landslides in Chesegon, West Pokot have also led to the death of 12 people including two police officers.
The meteorological department has issued warning of heavy rains and floods in various areas in the country.
Regions likely to be affected by the floods and landslides are Muranga, Taita Taveta, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot and Kisumu Counties.
