Raila Calls Mudavadi At Night – Malala

Senator Cleophas Malala has lashed out at ODM Leader Raila Odinga over sponsoring a poll that put Musalia Mudavadi’s popularity at 3 Percent while courting a coalition with the ANC leader.

The TIFA poll which is run by a statistics firm, put Raila Odinga and William Ruto at the forefront of the 2022 race, awarding other runners at less than 5 percent of the sample.

Malala lamented that ODM Party leaders denigrate Mudavadi during the day while their leader, Raila Odinga, phones the ANC leader every night seeking for his support.

"I am however surprised that the same ODM members who sponsored the opinion polls to show that Mudavadi is not popular, call us every night begging for our support. Every night Raila calls Mudavadi beseeching him to support his presidential bid," he said.

He dismissed a recent poll that showed the former Deputy Prime Minister receiving a 3% approval rating from the general people.

Senator Malala reassured Raila that Mudavadi and his party will never back Raila’s bid again.

"They published an opinion survey yesterday, claiming Musalia is unpopular. Musalia received only 3% of the public's approval, according to their poll. We want to tell them that ANC will not support ODM ever again."
