Raila Odinga, Azimio La Umoja’s presidential candidate, congratulated Fernandes Barasa and Abdulswamad Nassir on their election victories in Kakamega and Mombasa, respectively.
Raila stated on Twitter on Tuesday that the ODM’s triumph in the two elections proved that the entire country is Azimio.
“Kakamega na Mombasa mumedhihirisha kwamba Kenya nzima ni Azimio. Hongera BarasaFernandes na Abdulswamad Nassir,” Raila Tweeted.
He also thanked his supporters for backing his two allies in the just concluded mini polls.
“To our loyal supporters who came out to vote for them and Azimio as a whole on the 9th of August, I Thank You!” he added.
In Mombasa, Abdulswamad, flying the ODM flag shrugged off competition from former senator Hassan Omar who was flying the UDA flag, while Barasa trounced rival and former Kakamega Senator Cleopas Malala.
