Raila gathers Western MPs ahead of heated BBI Campaigns

ODM leader Raila Odinga this morning held a private meeting with local leaders in Butere, Kakamega.

Top of his agenda was the revenue stalemate that has rocked the senate-house. Raila urged ODM senators to represent their electorate and not care about selfish interests.

“You are there to serve Kenyans. Don’t go there (Senate) and start punishing rivals instead of serving people.”

The meeting comes after ODM gathered Migori MCAs to kick start an impeachment process for its governor, Okoth Obado.

The party argued that it maintains zero tolerance to corruption, and urged the MCAs to oust the governor so that the people of Migori “would be led by just leaders.”
