Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio La Umoja One, is currently chairing a high-level meeting of the coalition’s top brass in Naivasha.
The opposition leader summoned all 22 governors and top Azimio officials.
Wiper CEO Kalonzo Musyoka and former Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua are also in attendance.
Both Karua and Kalonzo will speak at the conference, which will also attempt to chart the coalition’s future after the August 9 defeat.
The meeting takes place at a time when top opposition politicians are warming up to President William Ruto.
Participants at the meeting will also develop the coalition’s political strategy for the elections in 2027.
The forum will provide an opportunity for Azimio leaders to find a solution to Ruto’s overtures to coalition governors and MPs.
Ruto has met with some Azimio governors, who have pledged to work with him unconditionally, causing concern among the opposition.
The meeting also serves as a warm-up for a conference for all Azimio leaders at all levels, which will take place before the end of the year.
