Raila Odinga Denies Links To Jacaranda Violence

Written By Gerald Gekara | |

Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, has chastised Deputy President William Ruto for associating him to violence witnessed in Jacaranda, Nairobi.

He was responding to UDA accusations, and repeated claims by Ruto that he was funding pockets of violence witnessed in the rallies.

Odinga accused Ruto’s associates of instigating the violence and then blaming him for it during a speech at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Tuesday.

He expressed confidence in his ability to win the August general elections.

DP Ruto’s team has written a letter to the ICC and President Uhuru Kenyatta calling on investigations into violence witnessed at their rallies.
