The Supreme Court of Kenya has ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to allow the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader, Raila Odinga to access its election results servers.
The National Tallying Center’s servers, which may have been utilized to store and send voter data, must be made accessible to Raila Odinga, a presidential candidate for the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition, as directed by the Supreme Court.
Additionally, the court ordered the agency to deliver him the ballot boxes from different polling places so that they may be opened for examination, scrutiny, and recount.
Among the polling places are those at Nandi Hills and Sinendeti Primary School in Nandi County, Belgut, Kapsuser, and Chepkutum Primary Schools in Kericho County, Jomvi, Mikindani, and Ministry of Water Tanks Polling Stations in Mombasa County, Mvita, Majengo, and Mvita Primary Schools in Mombasa County, Tinderet CONMO in Nandi County, and Jarok, Gathanji, and Kiheo Primary school.
The orders will make it possible for Mr Odinga and the other presidential election challengers to substantiate claims of vote fraud.
The IEBC must grant Mr Odinga supervised access to any servers that may be housing forensically imaged data used to obtain a copy of Form 34C, which represents the total number of votes cast, in accordance with the ruling.
