Rally Star Maxine Wahome Accused Of Beating Up Her Boyfriend

A star Kenyan rally driver who reportedly assaulted her lover on Jamhuri Day, leaving him intensive care unit has been released on Sh 100,000 cash bail pending the outcome of the investigation.

Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi granted bail to Maxine Wahome after revoking the Prosecution’s request to detain her awaiting the completion of investigations.

Wahome was granted bail and instructed be reporting to Kilimani police station every Monday until the conclusion of the investigation.

The police had sought 14 days to continue detaining the Wahome until the condition of the boyfriend Asad Khan aka Kalulu also a rally driver improves.

Khan is said to be admitted at Avenue hospital following a spat which left him with serious injuries.

” The complainant Khan is admitted at High Dependency Unit in critical condition with serious deep cuts on the right ankle, ” said the investigating officer.

The lady is being investigated over an offence of grevious harm and if charged and convicted maybe sentenced to life imprisonment.

The investigating officer sought the suspect’s arrest on the grounds that she is influential and that the majority of the witnesses in the case live in the apartment where she dwells.

“We wish to monitor the complainant’s condition, subject the covered mobile phone and simcards retrieved from Wahome to cyber analysis, and get relevant reports that we believe contain critical information,” said the IO

The state also wanted the lady detained so that they could accompany her to a government chemist for DNA testing before filing criminal charges against her.
