Iran’s foreign minister has called Donald Trump’s warning that the U.S. will intervene if peaceful protesters are killed “reckless and dangerous.”
Abbas Araghchi responded after the U.S. president vowed in a social media post to “come to the rescue” of demonstrators protesting Iran’s economy, adding: “We are locked and loaded and ready to go.”

In reply, Araghchi indicated Iran’s armed forces were on standby and “know exactly where to aim” in the event of an attack.
At least eight people have reportedly been killed since the protests began a week ago.
