In the wake of the tragic deaths of Angela Moraa and her partner, Vincent, a close relative has clarified misinformation circulating online regarding Angela’s marital status.
Many rumors suggested that Angela was married in the United States, prompting Kenyan police officer Sammy Ondimu Ngare to address the public through a heartfelt Facebook post.
Ngare revealed that he received a call from a family member who disclosed that Angela was not married but had a child with a man in the U.S. “She is not married.
She only had a baby with a man in the US, but they parted ways,” he wrote, urging Kenyans to refrain from spreading unverified information. He emphasized the importance of respecting the grieving families and allowing police to conduct their investigation without interference.
The couple, aged 29 and 28, respectively, was found days after their deaths in their rented apartment, located in the Nyamataro area, holding hands.
Concerned relatives of Vincent sought answers after numerous failed attempts to contact him. Vincent’s cousin, Evans Nyambunde, expressed the family’s distress, stating, “When we inquired at the hospital, we were informed he had not reported to work since Wednesday (November 27).”
The shocking incident has left the community in Nyamataro reeling. Local elder Yuvinalis Oyagi voiced his sorrow over the tragedy, urging individuals facing difficult life challenges to seek help rather than resort to extreme measures.
“It’s disheartening for adults to end their lives instead of reaching out for support,” he lamented.
As investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding Angela and Vincent’s deaths, police are working to determine if foul play was involved. The community awaits answers as they grapple with the loss of two young lives.
