Resurrection of Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi

Resurrection of Mukhisa Kituyi — Dr Mukhisa Kituyi was politically born in 1992. He announced his political arrival with a bang.

He defeated and retired then Kimilili Mp and political giant Elijah Masinde Mwangale.

Mwangale, then a powerful minister in the President Moi government was beaten hands down by Kituyi, then a Ford Kenya youth.

Kituyi was a fierce debater in Parliament and a media darling chiefly because of his eloquence.

He is a first cousin to the late Wamalwa Kijana and Eugene.

When Kibaki trounced Uhuru Kenyatta in 2002 Presidential election, Kituyi was appointed Trade and Industry Minister, replacing power man Nicholas Biwott.

Kituyi was the first Kenyan Director General of UNICTAD, the powerful United Nations trade regulator.

He served the two mandatory terms and decided to retire into politics.

Specifically, Kituyi was poised to run in the 2022 election. But he lost—not at the ballot box, but in Mombasa.

A young unknown lass did him dirty at the Coastal town, forcing the Professor to drop the hot coal of presidential politics.

Now he has new lifeline as the Spokesperson of a united opposition team of Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, his uncle Eugene Wamalwa, Dr. Fred Matiangi and Justin Muturi.

This time round, Kituyi team will hope there will be no banana peels..
