Invest Back Home: Gachagua Tells Kenyans In Botswana

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged Kenyans residing in Botswana to return home and invest for their retirement.

Gachagua, who met with about 250 Kenyans on Saturday evening, praised them for venturing into the unknown and succeeding.

Gachagua is on a four-day working tour in Gaborone, Botswana, and will represent President William Ruto at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in 2023.

“I’d want to beg for your assistance. We need you to save money at home.

“In other countries where we borrow money, their citizens give us savings,” he explained.

He promised that President William Ruto’s administration will handle their investment concerns.

During the 2023 Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa, Gachagua will participate in a panel discussion alongside Namibia’s Vice President, Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, and Nigeria’s Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.

Renuka Methil, Managing Editor of Forbes Africa, will chair the discussion.

Their conversation will revolve around the Africa Rising trajectory, with a focus on their respective countries’ economic and political agendas.
