Rigathi Gachagua Meets Residents in Kiambu and Murang’a, Calls for Accountability

By Michelle Ndaga

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has encouraged Kenyans to remain engaged in national dialogue, saying that public participation is key to building a better future.

In a series of Facebook posts following his meet-and-greet tour in Ruiru town, Kiambu County, Gachagua wrote: “Kenyans are bright people. They don’t need to be told what’s been happening or what hasn’t been done. The truth is staring them in the face. Nothing is working except wanton corruption and handouts. All these ills will be rectified in due time.”

Gachagua further stated that his interaction with residents reflected their growing determination to push for change. “No amount of bribe will sway the will of the people. They have seen through the lies and are now more determined than ever before. The movement for liberation of Kenya remains unstoppable it is WANTAM!”

The Deputy President also extended “warm greetings and solidarity” from the people of Kenol, Murang’a County, where he held another public participation forum, as well as Mukuyu in Kiharu Constituency.

He emphasized that such engagements strengthen the bond between leaders and citizens, helping to identify solutions to challenges facing communities.
