The body of a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Chief Inspector who went missing eight months ago while driving from Marsabit to Nairobi has been identified among the victims recovered from the River Yala in Siaya County.
Francis Oyaro’s corpse was one of 26 recovered from the river on various occasions.
Aboard August 28, 2021, he went missing while driving from Marsabit to Nairobi on a KWS van.
His identity was established when DNA results were revealed on Thursday morning, with remnants tested matching his mother’s DNA.
His wife, Veronica Osore, expressed gratitude to God that her husband had been found.
In a phone chat, she told the journalists that the DNA test was completed last week.
