In order to attain Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the government is giving national priority to access to laboratory services.
This action is a major step towards bettering healthcare services nationwide. In order to close significant infrastructure gaps and guarantee that high-quality diagnostic services are both reasonably priced and easily accessible, the programme intends to construct fully functional laboratories in all healthcare facilities.
By bolstering laboratory services, Kenya moves resolutely to improve the general standard and availability of healthcare for its people, especially those living in underprivileged areas.
On March 12, Laboratory Services stakeholders came together to discuss how to improve the production, delivery, and supply of diagnostic equipment locally.
Kenya’s dedication to transforming healthcare is demonstrated by recent legislative initiatives including the Facility Improvement Financing Act (FIF).
