Ezekiel Mutuku, alias Macho, appeared before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi at the Milimani Law Courts on Monday, July 14th, 2025, facing charges of robbery with violence and possession of public stores.
According to the prosecution, on June 28th, at First Parklands Avenue in Nairobi County, Mutuku, while armed with a pistol and in the company of others not before the court, robbed Patel Kashyakumar of Ksh 999,000 and used violence on him during the incident.
In a separate charge, Mutuku is accused of being found in possession of public stores on July 2nd along Ronald Ngala Street in Eldoret Township, Uasin Gishu County.
The items allegedly found in his possession included a police cap peak with a white canvas cap cover and a National Police Service crown badge, all suspected to have been stolen.
During the court session, the prosecution presented an affidavit opposing bail. The defense lawyer requested time to review the document, stating she had not seen it before, the court deferred the bail decision to a later date.
Magistrate Ekhubi directed that Mutuku be held at Parklands Police Station for one more day and instructed that the accused be presented in court tomorrow for plea taking
The case has been adjourned and will be mentioned on July 15th, 2025, for further directions.
