Robert Burale to Hold Instagram Live Amid Defamation Case Against Ex-Wife

By Faith Mwende

Public speaker and pastor Robert Burale is set to go live on Instagram tonight at 8:30 p.m., days after news broke that he had filed a defamation suit against his ex-wife, Rozinah Mwakideu, and media personality Alex Mwakideu.

In a post shared on his verified Instagram page, Burale wrote: “KING OF ZAMUNDA. Wachenı mluhya ajibambe… Tonight 8.30 p.m.… I WILL BE LIVE… Tell a friend to tell a friend… Kosa uchekwe.”

The message, accompanied by a photo of him dressed in white, has drawn attention online, with many speculating he could address the ongoing controversy.

The live session comes in the wake of a viral interview published on Alex Mwakideu’s YouTube channel earlier this month, in which Rozinah Mwakideu spoke candidly about her one-year marriage to Burale, describing it as a difficult period in her life.

Following the interview, Burale moved to court, claiming the statements were false and damaging to his reputation as a pastor and public figure. In his suit filed at the Milimani Chief Magistrate’s Court, he is seeking KSh 20 million in damages and the removal of the video from YouTube.

Neither Burale nor the Mwakideus have issued public comments since the case was filed. It remains unclear whether Burale will address the matter directly during his Instagram Live, though the timing of the announcement has stirred public curiosity.
