Police officers from Kibichoi Police Station, Kiambu County, conducted an intelligence-led operation to rid their station area of illicit brew and illegal drugs.
Following a tip-off from a concerned member of the public, the security team raided the home of a suspected drug peddler, Rosemary Waithera Ngige, 21 years old, during the exercise at Thuita village in Komothai location.
The perpetrator was apprehended, and 810 rolls of bhang were discovered. She has since been arrested and is being held in police custody while she awaits her court date.
The National Police Service expressed gratitude to the public for helping to make the arrest and many others possible.
