A middle aged man was today arraigned in a Nairobi Court for allegedly assaulting his wife.
Mbuguah Njiraini John will have to spend night in police cells after he was today denied bond after pleading to assault charges levelled against him.
He was charged that on June 29, 2024 at Ruai Township assaulted his wife Alice Wanjiru Kimani thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
Appearing before Magistrate Martha Nazushi at Milimani Law Courts, he denied the charges and the court ordered his detention pending the allocation of the case to a gender cases court at Makadara or Kibera Law Courts.
