Ruaraka MP Disburses Ksh34 Million Bursaries to Over 5,000 Needy Students

More than 5,000 needy secondary school students in Ruaraka Constituency have benefited from bursaries worth Ksh34 million, disbursed under the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).

Speaking during the bursary award ceremony held at Drive-In Primary School, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’ said the financial support is aimed at easing the burden of education costs on struggling families and keeping students in school.

“We have ensured the bursaries cover learners in both day and boarding schools, including those living with disabilities,” Kajwang’ said, emphasizing inclusivity and equal access to education.

He also pledged that all Ruaraka students who qualify for professional courses after secondary school will have their college education fully sponsored by the NG-CDF, reinforcing his commitment to long-term educational support.

The MP called on school principals to prioritize the delivery of quality education, noting that future bursary allocations will be expanded to reach more learners and ensure that no child is left behind due to lack of school fees.

During the event, residents urged Kajwang’ to accelerate the establishment of a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution in the area, citing the need for increased post-secondary education opportunities.

Addressing political matters, Kajwang’ dismissed recent comments made by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna on national television regarding ODM’s position on the proposed broad-based government. He termed Sifuna’s remarks as personal and not reflective of the official stance of the party.
