The government has revoked Rubis Energy CEO Jean Christian Bergeron’s work permit with immediate effect on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, on the grounds that he was sabotaging the economy.
According to the Nation, the government has ordered the CEO’s immediate deportation. Rubis is one of the companies accused of stockpiling the product, causing an artificial shortage.
Bergeron’s deportation comes only days after Rubis blamed supply shortages across the country on rising international petroleum prices.
