President William Ruto has asked his Cabinet members to maintain the rule of law as they prepare to carry out their duties under the Kenya Kwanza administration.
In his first meeting with members of the new Cabinet on Thursday at State House in Nairobi, Ruto urged all Cabinet Secretaries to honour the tremendous pleasure of being in the Cabinet by providing faithful service to Kenyans.
The President reminded the Cabinet Secretaries of their high level of responsibility and accountability.
He urged the team to collaborate in solving growing concerns, stating that shaping a nation’s fate is not the responsibility of a single man or woman.
The Cabinet approved the first step of incentives to catalyze drought recovery efforts, including food aid, health and nutrition, and water delivery via water trucking.
“Other areas of targeted action include support for the Education Sector in drought-affected areas to maintain continuity of teaching and learning through the strengthening of the schools feeding program,” according to the statement.
