A family of seven lost their lives in a fire early on Sunday, October 2 in Runyenjes, Embu County.
According to reports, a father, mother, their three children—two daughters and a son—and two grandchildren perished in the Gichiche village.
The fire is said to have broken out around 4 am, completely destroying their three-bedroom home.
The family was completely destroyed by fire, and the home was made of wood.
Runyenjes police officers have opened investigations into the cause of the fire.
