Gian Piero Gasperini, coach of Atalanta, reveals that ‘there are negotiations’ to sell Ruslan Malinovskyi to Olympique Marseille, and that he will not be replaced in the squad.
La Dea are set to face Bologna on Monday evening at 19.45 GMT.
According to rumours in France and Italy, Malinovskyi is close to joining Olympique Marseille.
It is believed to be a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for €15 million, which means he must first extend his existing contract with Atalanta in order for it to be valid.
Malinovskyi, a Ukrainian international, had received interest from several clubs, most notably Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, but Marseille appear to have won the race.
