Moscow announced Saturday that it had seized two more villages in eastern Ukraine, while Kyiv officials reported that Russian strikes had killed one person and injured 19.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces had captured Sudne and Burlatske in the south of the eastern Donetsk region.
They are located near the town of Velyka Novossilka, which was seized by the Russian army at the end of January.
According to the Ukrainian air force, Russia launched 154 drones overnight, with 103 being downed and 51 disappearing from radar without causing any damage or casualties.
Ukrainian regional authorities however reported one death and several injuries.
Ukrainian prosecutors report that one person was killed and three were injured in the southern Odesa region.
Twelve people were injured in northeastern Kharkiv and two more in southern Kherson, according to local authorities.
Two more were wounded in Pokrovsk, a rail and mining hub where Russian forces are gaining ground, posing a threat to Ukrainian troops’ key logistical hub.
