On Saturday, February 11, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu revealed that the late Prof George Magoha had asked him to assist his sister in finding a job.
Machogu revealed to mourners in Siaya that President Ruto had agreed to hire Magoha’s sister.
“When Magoha was alive, he asked me to make certain that the government considers his sister for a position.” Machogu explained.
“And I want to inform you that the people of Gem that when I discussed with the President he agreed on the request of Magoha and that sister is going to work in the government of Kenya,” he added.
While defending his decision to seek employment for Magoha’s sister, Machogu revealed that the late Education Cabinet Secretary had chosen his son. Paul Machogu Junior, as his aide after being appointed to head the Ministry of Education by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“For three and a half years, Professor Magoha walked alongside that young man. He was with Machogu junior everywhere he went. “As a father, he instilled in that young man the necessary Christian values,” the CS explained.
“From there, the two families became friends,” Machogu stated.
The Education Secretary stated that he returned the favor because of his friendship with Magoha.
