Ruto: Kenya Has The BEST Workforce In The World

Kenya’s President William Ruto has said his government is committed to transforming education and boosting the country’s global competitiveness through skilled human capital.

Speaking to Kenyans living in the UK during a meeting at a London hotel on Wednesday evening, President Ruto said his administration was investing heavily in education and skills to align with international job market standards.

“The world is changing fast, and we must prepare our young people with the right skills, knowledge, and competencies that are demanded globally,” he said.

He revealed that Kenya has allocated over Ksh. 650 billion toward education and training from early childhood to university level, adding that reforms were already yielding results.

“Everywhere I go, I hear that Kenyan professionals stand out. They are disciplined, reliable, and require minimal supervision,” the president said, describing Kenyans abroad as the country’s “most valuable brand.”

The president cited the recent Kenya-Germany Migration and Mobility Agreement as a step toward increasing job placements abroad.

“In two years, 280,000 Kenyans have found jobs overseas. We are targeting one million by 2027,” he said.

He also urged the diaspora to invest in the government’s affordable housing and ICT programs, which aim to create jobs and provide decent living conditions back home.

President Ruto commended the strong diplomatic ties between Kenya and the UK, calling Britain a “strategic ally” and a key importer of Kenyan tea.

He concluded by encouraging Kenyans abroad to remain patriotic and act as ambassadors for the nation.
