Ruto Set To Unveil ‘Hustler’ Manifesto

Before beginning the forums this year, the DP went on a charm offensive in various regions

On Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto will unveil his manifesto, which will be the culmination of county economic forums held across the country by the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

Dr. Ruto, who is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to succeed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, has been touring the country, gathering feedback from Kenyans on what they expect from him if he is elected President on August 9.

“The Kenya Kwanza coalition will launch its manifesto tomorrow, Thursday, June 30… at 6.30pm,” says DP Ruto’s presidential communication director Hussein Mohammed in a message.

Before beginning the forums this year, the DP went on a charm offensive in various regions, meeting with professionals to draft economic blueprints for their respective regions.

Mr Mohammed stated that the manifesto only captures Kenyans’ views and aspirations and not what the alliance described as a boardroom economic blueprint.

The DP campaign insists that the August General Election is about the country’s economy and lifting those at the bottom of the income scale.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman Johnson Muthama stated that the coalition wants to change the country’s political landscape, and the manifesto is intended to give the coalition an advantage over their rivals.

Dr. Ruto recently stated that his agenda seeks to reengineer the economy with everyone on board in order to reduce poverty.
