Deputy President William Ruto and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi are poised to conduct their first rally in Nakuru on Wednesday.

This comes after the duo forming a political alliance that has rattled Kenya’s political landscape.

The two are slated to begin their series of combined rallies in Nakuru before moving on to Western and Central Kenya.

UDA officials from the North Rift, led by Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjuri, said the talks ahead of the Sunday rally will be used to persuade their supporters to recognize their union ahead of the August 9 election.

Gishu Uasin residents may expect defections at the ceremonies, according to Governor Jackson Mandago.
