Deputy President William Ruto has torn into his political opponents urging them to refrain from exploiting the criminal court system to further their goals, especially in corruption cases.
Ruto expressed his displeasure on why his opponents were threatening and blackmailing his followers through the criminal court system.
“I’d like to advise our rivals to refrain from using the criminal court system to scare our supporters. Find a plan and sell it to those who have the final word in elections,” Ruto remarked.
This comes amidst claims that these allies were seeking political refuge in his presidency, urging his followers and leaders to shun scare tactics in the race to a Hustler statehouse.
Ruto assured Kenyans at empowerment workshops in Nyeri County that the criminal justice system would not be politicized if he were to take over the country’s government.
Ruto told Kenyans that if he takes over the presidency, he will carry out the Big Four agenda that Jubilee launched.
The Big Four development agenda, according to the Deputy President, aims to create jobs in housing, manufacturing, and agricultural initiatives.
“I will carry out the Big Four agenda because it was a commitment we made to the Kenyan people with President Kenyatta as part of our efforts to better their lives,” he said.
The Deputy President stated that he will invest in agriculture to ensure that farmers earn a good livelihood and that hunger is eradicated in the country.
