President William Ruto has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Kenya, describing his leadership as a divine assignment that he intends to complete regardless of political criticism or opposition.
Speaking during a church service in Nairobi, the Head of State declared that his mission to reshape the country’s socio-economic landscape is guided by God and driven by a deep personal sense of duty. “Mungu ndiye amenipa nafasi ya kuongoza Kenya, na amenipatia assignment ya ku-transform this nation. Hiyo assignment, I will see it through,” Ruto stated.
The President singled out the Affordable Housing Programme and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as critical pillars of his administration’s development agenda—programs he said have suffered years of inaction due to political indecision. “Tumengojea kwa miaka nyingi, story imekuwa nyingi. Hii mradi wa Affordable Housing na UHC imekuwepo for 30 years na haijafanyika. This is the time to do it and I am the person to do it, singojei mwingine,” he affirmed.
Ruto dismissed mounting political criticism, asserting that neither name-calling nor intimidation will derail his focus. “I am committed, determined, and focused on transforming Kenya. No amount of intimidation or name-calling is going to change my course,” he said.
He emphasized that time is on his side, and he intends to use every day of his presidency to implement lasting reforms. “I have an assignment to transform Kenya na niko na muda ya kutosha ya kunyorosha hii maneno. Watu wananipigia makelele lakini mimi sijali. Mimi I am focused,” he added.
The President’s remarks underline his administration’s resolve to deliver tangible progress amid growing public scrutiny and political contestation over key policy initiatives.
