Ruto Saved Me After Interviewing Riggy G – Obinna opens Up on ‘Deep State’ Threats

He claimed that several people, including an external party privy to the details, a popular media personality and another individual in the President's inner circle, had confirmed these details to him.

Speaking during his YouTube show on Monday, Obinna claimed that he had received credible intel that a rogue unit was plotting against him, but the President had warned them against going forward with the plan.

He claimed that several people, including an external party privy to the details, a popular media personality and another individual in the President’s inner circle, had confirmed these details to him.

“After I interviewed Riggy G, there were some people who wanted to do me bad. The person who stopped them was the President,” Obinna claimed.

“The person who told me was an external party who was in the same room. These are the same words the President used: ‘leave the young man alone. If we start beating young men, what exactly are we doing? Leave him alone; he has done nothing wrong. Let him do his thing. Nobody should touch him.’ Exact words I was told by a very credible person.”

He went on to claim that even before he received that call, he had been alerted by a prominent media personality urging him to stay vigilant on an imminent threat.

According to Obinna, the journalist had informed him that there was a rogue unit plotting against him, even giving him intelligence that they knew his movement and were tracking him.

Additionally, he said that recently, another individual whom he described as having “deep state” connections had told him the same thing, leading him to believe the President had indeed foiled a planned attack on him.

During the tell-all interview with Gachagua in May, the former DP opened up on his fallout with the President, right from when Ruto went to him in the lead-up to the 2022 General Elections seeking support.

Gachagua also delved into the aftermath of his impeachment, including graft allegations against him and the violence that marred his Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) launch, in the over three-hour-long interview.

Even immediately after the interview, Obinna and his crew admitted that they were on edge as they drove back from the interview, fearing they would suffer consequences for doing the intense interview.

“Every time I saw a police roadblock, I froze,” Obinna recounted, laughing nervously with his team. “There were so many roadblocks. I didn’t even want to drive home last night. Pray for me. I’ve brought this on myself!”
