President William Ruto has announced that maize flour prices will fall further beginning next week.
President Ruto stated on Saturday in Meru that his administration is committed to providing Kenyans with affordable unga.
He stated that the government has made significant interventions to reduce the cost of living, which has skyrocketed for the vast majority of Kenyans.
“I’m happy to report that the journey to lower the high cost of living has begun,” Ruto said.
Although he did not reveal the new retail prices for unga beginning next week, Ruto stated that they will be less than Sh150.
During the tour, the President emphasized that his government is on track to address Kenya’s high cost of living, and he urged Kenyans to refrain from protesting.
“My administration will deal with this issue of hunger completely, putting sufurias on the head will not solve anything,” he said.
